By: irving delos reyes

Cobb County is one of the most strategic sites in Georgia for buying residential real estates in particular, and also for other kinds of real estate properties. Since the county is located near Atlanta (geographically located in Fulton county), prospective buyers can have the luxury of living in a suburban setting while within driving reach of workplaces, offices and schools in the state capital. In addition, the presence of malls, schools and natural parks makes for a leisurely living amid serene rural areas.

But first, a brief description of Cobb County itself. Cobb County has an estimated population of 607,751, many of whom are working or studying in Atlanta. (Not surprising given the county’s proximity to Atlanta).
It had been described in online profiles that Cobb County is divided into two halves namely East Cobb and West Cobb. In East Cobb-said to be the older section and more up-scale in nature, one can find more expensive real estate properties due to the area’s proximity to “excellent schools” and other facilities. Prices -said to start at approximatelyround $200, and may reach into the millions in high-class Pope and Walton school districts. Leisure loving residents can take hiking and biking trips at nearby Chatahoochee River National Park. East Cobb is also astride Interstate 75, connecting Georgia with Chattanooga, Tennessee, which makes it accessible for commuters and travelers alike.

Similar to East Cobb, West Cobb also has leisure facilities, parks, schools and two natural parks (Lake Allatoona and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park). Three high schools are located in West Cobb. In terms of property values, houses in West Cobb may start at around at $100 and may increase depending on their proximity to schools, malls and offices.

The prices of these real estate properties may also vary depending on their sizes and the amenities available inside the houses. Some properties may reach millions while others are valued at a hundred thousand dollars or so.
Aside from Smyrna and Marietta, among the sites in the entire county where buyers can take up residence are Wildwood falls, Galleria, Pope, Walton, South Cobb and Mableton. Buyers may also look into the towns of Acworth, Kennesaw, Powder Springs, Austell, Roswell, Hiram, Woodstock and Vinings. Some towns-such as Acworth, Austell, Kenessaw, and Powder Springs -have websites where buyers may browse through for more information on residential sites.

Once buyers have enough information on real estate properties in Cobb County, they may want to know more about Cobb County’s real estate, especially on laws and document requirements. They can visit the Superior court clerk’s office located atin Marietta city. Buyers may access rulings, and decisions and rules , which may help them think about their plan to purchase of real estate properties in the county.

Living in Cobb County gives prospective buyers a chance to work and relax. As we have seen, the county is strategically located near Atlanta-the commercial, educational and political hub of Georgia. Cobb County retains the serenity of living in a rural area yet still being accessible to a dynamic city.
