How can a gamer be defined, is it one, or many characteristics? In my opinion this is a philosophical question, most answers I've heard for this question has for the most part had some logic to it. There are some who not only want to beat the game, but find every possible thing there is to find within the game. Gamer or Not? If you only play a certain type of game, or only play a certain console, are you a gamer? Is it the amount of time that is invested in playing. Those who play in their spare time, can they be defined as a video gamer? How about the skill level, do I have to be one of the great ones to be considered a gamer? Owning a video game console since the old Atari days, gamer? How about those so called "No Lifers", all they do is play video games, seriously. They might be the combined definition of gamer. Here's one, I've encountered people who play XBox 360 And PS3, who says that anybody playing the Wii as a primary console are not to be considered gamers, EVER! And they have 101 reasons too, I don't totally agree with that. Look, in my opinion The PS3 and 360 are better than the Wii overall. Nintendo just hit the jackpot by making something that was more universal. Young, old and all in between have made this console crush the others in sales the last few years. Being a gamer may have more than one definition, and if so, this label could be a meaningless one. One thing that does count for something is that video games are quickly becoming the option for home entertainment if it already hasn't, not for just the young but old as well. You a gamer?
